Khaat Qiyn was a Force-sensitive Human[1] female[2] who served as a Jedi Knight within the Jedi Order by the time of the First Battle of Geonosis[3] in 22 BBY.[5] She was the master of the Jedi apprentice Bairdon Jace.[4] The Jedi Knight was a student of the Form V technique of Lightsaber combat[3] and used it to vanquish many opponents.[2] Qiyn had black hair, brown eyes, light skin and wore traditional Jedi robes paired with diplomatic boots.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Although her death in the First Battle of Geonosis was never officially confirmed, Holocron Keeper Leland Chee, in a 2005 Star Wars: Blogs post, listed her among the Jedi who fought in the battle whose fates were unknown but who likely died.[6] A 2015 StarWars.com article Meet the Geonosis Jedi by Tim Veekhoven stated that she likely perished on Geonosis.[7]
