The Kiffar were a near-human species[1] from the planets Kiffu and Kiffex. Although they seemed human in appearance,[3] Kiffar were distinguished by their scarlet blood[2] and facial tattoos, which indicated their clan affiliation on their species' homeworlds.[3] Jedi Master Quinlan Vos, who took part in the Clone Wars, was a male Jedi Master Kiffar.[4] Vildar Mac was also a Jedi Knight during The High Republic.[5] A small number of the species, including Vos, possessed the gift of psychometry, the ability to read the memories of inanimate objects through touch.[6]
