The Kilji Overlords were a part of the government of the Kilji Illumine, the nation of the Kilji species. They affirmed the decisions of the Generalirius, the leader of the Illumine and its military, the Illumine Kilhorde.[1] Around 18 BBY,[2] when the ruler of the Illumine, Generalirius Nakirre, agreed to accompany his ally, the Grysk agent Jixtus of the Grysk warlike species, to conquer other nations and spread the Kilji's beliefs, the Kilji Overlords affirmed his decision. During their travels aboard Nakirre's Kilji war cruiser, the Whetstone, Nakirre wanted to kill Jixtus, as the Grysk mocked the Kiljis' beliefs and the Generalirius himself. However, Nakirre tolerated Jixtus' behaviour as he remembered that he had chosen to travel with the Grysk with the Kilji Overlords' affirmation.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The Kilji Overlords were mentioned in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, the final installment of Star Wars: Thrawn Ascendancy Trilogy written by Timothy Zahn.[1]

Notes and references[]

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil
  2. The events of Thrawn: Alliances set during the Clone Wars take place after Ahsoka Tano had left the Jedi Order. Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates both the end of the Clone Wars and Tano's departure from the Order to 19 BBY. As the main events of Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising take place concurrently with the Clone Wars events of Alliances, Chaos Rising must be set in 19 BBY. Furthermore, during the main events of Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, it is established that the attack on Csilla, which is depicted as part of the main events of Chaos Rising, took place "last year." Therefore, the main events of Lesser Evil must be set around 18 BBY.
