Kimm Aurek was a dingy industrial world located in the Kimm Aurek system, one of the Kimm systems of the Juvex sector, which was itself a part of the Senex-Juvex region in the Western Reaches portion of the Mid Rim. It lay on the hyperlane known as the Senex-Juvex Loop, which connected it to the Juvex and Kimm Besh systems. Similarly to its Senex-Juvex Loop neighbors Kimm Besh and Kimm Cresh, Kimm Aurek was under the control of House Sreethyn, one of the aristocratic Ancient Houses of the region.[1]

Kimm Aurek was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square L-18.[1]
