Kiughfid was a card game that was played on the main gambling floor at the Outlander Club in the Uscru District of Coruscant, capital of the Galactic Republic. The club used four-armed Besalisk card dealers for the game that were fast and efficient at taking money from players. At least one Besalisk dealer was running a game of kiughfid at a table on the gambling floor when the Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi interrogated the bounty hunter Zam Wesell outside the club[1] in 22 BBY.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
In the current Star Wars canon, kiughfid was mentioned in the 2016 reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations. It was part of material reprinted[1] from the 2003 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, which was written by Simon Beecroft and Curtis Saxton, illustrated by Richard Chasemore and Hans Jenssen, and marked the first mention of the game in the Star Wars Legends continuity.[3]
