Klee-klee nuts were a type of nut that were sometimes cooked by roasting.[1] By 20 BBY,[2] a Jedi Padawan named Barriss Offee had smelled the nuts while they were roasting and found the aroma to be pleasant. During that year, while Offee was in her quarters at Republic Mobile Surgical Unit 7 during a battle fought between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems on the planet Drongar as part of the Clone Wars, the Jedi was reminded of the nuts' roasting smell by an odor that she believed to originate from a malfunctioning power amplifier in her room's desktop comm unit.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Klee-klee nuts were first mentioned in MedStar II: Jedi Healer, a 2004 novel written by Steve Perry and Michael Reaves.[1]
