Korasa was the smallest of three moons that orbited the ocean world of Kamino, in the area of the galaxy known as Wild Space. The surface of this frozen satellite was covered with dunes of snow.

Korasa was the only moon of Kamino explored by the native Kaminoans, who established a small outpost many centuries before the Clone Wars. This outpost was eventually abandoned several hundred years before the Kaminoans took on the contract to clone the soldiers of the Grand Army of the Republic.
