Koromondain was a corporation that produced and sold the armored half-vest for 500 credits during the Imperial Era. The armored vest was popular with bounty hunters, paramilitary troops, and security forces due to its low cost.[1]

Koromondain was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in Gadgets and Gear, a roleplaying supplementary sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying series that was published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2019.[1]
