Krakanas were carnivorous creatures that existed on Mon Cala. In the culture of the Mon Calamari, the remains of those who lost in ancient rites of challenge were fed to krakanas.^[1] A Mon Calamari saying went that "a wounded krakana can still bite."^[2] The creatures were the namesake of the Mon Cala Krakanas, a Huttball team.^[3]
