- "…we do not need the DFP. Noor knows it, and, in his heart of hearts, Tia Toon knows it as well. Can you imagine Noor letting a unified security force be established on Serenno? Count Kresto would burst a blood vessel."
- ―Lina Soh, to Larep Reza
Kresto was a Serennian man hailing from the Outer Rim planet Serenno who lived during the High Republic Era.[1] By 231 BBY,[2] they had taken on the title of Count of Serenno. During a Senate planning meeting about the upcoming Republic Fair on the Outer Rim planet Valo[1] that year,[2] Serenno's senator[1]—Izzet Noor[3]—voiced concerns about the event's security due to the Nihil marauders plaguing the galaxy. Though other attendees tried to address his concerns, the project of another senator—Tia Toon—was brought up, sparking discussion over the Defense Force Program initiative. After the meeting's end, Republic Supreme Chancellor Lina Soh told her Vice Chancellor Larep Reza that the upcoming fair had nothing to worry about, joking about how Kresto would despise something like the Defense Force Program—a unified security force—having a presence on Serenno.[1]
