- "The Dantari are a threat to our stormtroopers. At this time, we are devoting all of our efforts to wipe out the remaining Rebel sympathy on this planet. Once the Rebels have been completely stopped, we can then focus our attentions on subjugating the indigenous species, the Dantari."
- ―An Imperial colonel, to a spacer
The Kunga were a Dantari tribe from Dantooine.[1] Most of the Kunga lived in their village[2] and the tribe also established a stronghold in a cave.[4] The Kunga were in conflict with the Janta and the Mokk, another Dantari tribes.[5]
During the Galactic Civil War, the Galactic Empire considered the Kunga as a threat for their troops.[3]
