Kylo Ren's command shuttle was an Upsilon-class command shuttle utilized by Kylo Ren, who was a member of the Knights of Ren and the First Order around thirty years after the Battle of Endor. His ship led a group of Atmospheric Assault Landers to the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer Finalizer.

Description[]

Kylo Ren's command shuttle featured two shield generators, instead of one as was typical on most starships. This simplified and strengthened shield distribution. The shuttle also featured an experimental magnetic field projection system, particularly effective against plasma rounds. This forced incoming projectiles off course.^[1]

History[]

Kylo Ren's command shuttle^[6] was present during the subjugation of Tuanul, Jakku and the Battle of Takodana landing at the remains of Takodana Castle. The ship delivered Rey to Starkiller Base where she was to be interrogated by Ren himself.^[4]

After Ren usurped the title of Supreme Leader by killing Snoke, he and General Armitage Hux commanded the First Order forces during the Battle of Crait from the shuttle's bridge. After the sudden appearance of Luke Skywalker, Ren ordered the shuttle's pilot, Jober Tavson, to land the craft on the salty plains so he could confront his former Jedi Master, hurling General Hux against a control console when the man protested.^[5]

Behind the scenes[]

The command shuttle was first seen in the second teaser for Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. The craft was one of the exclusive blueprints in Star Wars: Ships of the Galaxy, released on Force Friday on September 4, 2015.

Kylo Ren's command shuttle was introduced as a playable ship of the same name in the 2015 mobile game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes in 2017, which features characters and ships from both the canon and Legends continuities.^[8]
