Luke Skywalker tests his prosthetic hand.

The L-hand 980 was a prosthetic hand model produced by Antilles BioGen. The model was used by medical droid 2-1B to replace Luke Skywalker's hand after it was lost on Bespin.

ABG later discontinued the arm that went with the hand, but 2-1B suggested the J2J model prosthetic arm from Organa Organics.

Behind the scenesEdit

The L-hand 980, ABG, the J2J, and Organa Organics were all first mentioned in Star Wars Insider 51 in the Dear 2-1B column. It is unknown whether or not the information given by the droid is considered canon - or whether he was simply giving his readers a load of bantha fodder.
