LX-R5, also known as Ellex,[2] was an R5 series astromech droid that served the Jedi Order, working alongside the Jedi Master Kelleran Beq and the protocol droid AD-3.[1]

LX-R5 was an astromech droid who served Jedi Master Kelleran Beq. Alongside the protocol droid AD-3, he accompanied Beq when he supervised Padawans' Jedi Trials.[1]
Characteristics[]
LX-R5 was an astromech droid with a yellow trapezoid dome and a white chassis with yellow and orange features. He had a male programming and spoke Binary.[1] He was frequently teased by his droid companion AD-3, who made remarks about his exhaust on at least two occasions.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
LX-R5 first appeared as a supporting character in the first episode of Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge, which premiered on June 10, 2020 on YouTube.[1] According to the show's creator Scott Bromley, the droid was named after his young nephew Alex and took 16 days to build.[2] LX-R5 was operated off-camera by prop builder Michael McMaster.[4].
