Lacunas Subartuk was a Jedi Knight who served the Jedi Order some time before the Clone Wars. A long time after his death, Subartuk was considered one of the most vigilant Jedi of the ancient order. Plo Koon, Luminara Unduli and other Jedi visited the Jedi Archives and built their lightsabers to resemble Subartuk's. Later, in the New Jedi Order founded by Luke Skywalker, the hilt design would inspire the Sentinel lightsaber.
