"Well, if you're interested in continuing on in Ord Mantell, you should seek out Laetin. Mind you, he has much more challenging assignments."

Biography[]

"I only oversee the Lucent Ivaya and her activities."
―Laetin A'shera, to a Car'das pilot[3]

Laetin A'shera was a well-trained pilot for the Car'das based on Tansarii Point Station, along with Serissu, Aleas Rans'ery and Dartas Pytin.[1] In 1 ABY,[4] Laetin A'shera oversaw all Car'das operations in the Lucent Ivaya quadrant of the Bright Jewel system.[3]

During the Battle of Tansarii Point Station between Car'das and Black Sun forces, Laetin A'shera dispatched pilots to search for and eliminate Black Sun spies among Dynathian mining transports. Information found on a Black Sun spy was quickly transmitted to Agent Rayar of the Car'das intelligence ring.[1] A'shera then sent his pilots escort Dynath Miners from the Masul'ivis Asteroid Belt back to their mining facility.[5] Later, during a mission to warn the Car'das allies about Black Sun activity, the Car'das M3-A Scyk fighters were infected by the Black Envy, a Black Sun computer virus.[6] Laetin A'shera and his pilots decided to use it to their advantage and finally trapped the Black Sun assassin Talonbane Cobra in the Lurid Aurora Nebula.[3]

  4. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
