Lancer-class frigates were warships employed by the First Order around[1] 30 years after the Battle of Endor.[3] Commander Poe Dameron discovered two of the venerable frigates at a staging point as the Cold War heated up.[1]

Lancer-class frigates have a long history in Star Wars Legends media. They first made an appearance in the canon continuity in the 2015 novel Before the Awakening, written by Greg Rucka as a prelude to Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens.
