In 0 ABY,^[3] a crew^[4] was put together by^[1] the smuggler^[5] Lando Calrissian to steal^[1] the Imperialis, the personal luxury yacht of Emperor Sheev Palpatine in order to settle Calrissian's debt to the crime boss Papa Toren. The crew consisted of Calrissian, his friend Lobot,^[4] the former University of Bar'leth Sava Korin Pers,^[1] and the cloned^[4] assassins Aleksin and Pavol.^[6]

After the crew stole the Imperialis, Lobot was injured by a pair of Emperor's Royal Guard who were stationed on the ship to protect Sith artifacts Palpatine had stored on it,^[7] which included the mask of the Sith Lord Momin.^[8] The mask corrutpted the two assassins, who eventually killed Pers, before they themselves were killed by Calrissian and Chanath Cha, a bounty hunter and former lover of Lobot, who had been hired by Palpatine to either destroy the ship or capture the crew. Cha ultimately decided to activate the vessel's self-destruct mechanism and destroy the ship rather than capture her old companions, and Calrissian and Lobot were able to escape aboard an escape pod before the Imperialis was destroyed.^[9]
