Several droids of an unknown model were used as lanterns to illuminate Rish Loo's secret laboratory on Naboo. The droids levitated above the ground using repulsorlifts, and also had the capacity to walk using short appendages on their underside.[1]
History[]
Around the year 21 BBY, during the Clone Wars, several of these droids were present when Anakin Skywalker was taken prisoner by Count Dooku and his MagnaGuards. They also participated in the duel between the Jedi Knight and the Sith Lord.[1] Also, many lantern droids were part of Preigo's Traveling World of Wonder when they went to perform for Hondo Ohnaka and his group of pirates on Florrum.[2]
