Lasso

Lassos were lengths of rope or cable used to subdue enraged animals by looping them around the creatures' necks. During the High Republic Era, the Duros Jedi Knight Te'Ami saw them used at a rodeo on the planet Chandar's Folly, where many of the would-be riders were instead tossed several meters into the air to land on the ground. Later, while attempting to save a modular passenger compartment full of people during the Great Disaster, Te'Ami compared the move she and several other Jedi were attempting with the Force to slow down the compartment to the use of a lasso.
