"That unfortunate incident of several years ago, when you dared challenge my absolute authority over your miserable lives. Yes, human — I still remember. But I took the fact that the punishment didn't have to be repeated as a sign that you had at least half a brain.""
―Leego to Cosmo Hender[src]

[1]

Leego was a Male Rodian, who, along with the other members of his species, and the Gamorreans, served the Varlian Empire, working as overseer of the Humans and Twi'lek slaves. Biography

""Excuses do you no credit, Twi'lek. You could use those disgusting tentacles growing off your head.""
―Leego to Fend Bellona[src]

When Fend Bellona, a Twi'lek slave who worked one of the chiseling stations removing protrusions from the stone bricks for the vast temple that slaves were building is brought before him for failing to fulfill his quota as the other slaves. Bellona tells him he could not, since his left hand had been shattered a dozen days ago, when he had been caught between two large marble blocks. This does not serve as an excuse according to Leego, who strikes with his whip in the shoulder to the Twi'lek to defy him, also giving in the Bellona's Lekku, to leave him bloodied.[3]

One day, Leego orders Cosmo Hender, leader of the human slaves, (who had once suffered for intervening with the cruel punishments of Leego) to come to his presence, Delba, the daughter of Governor Kaxa, requires the brightest and strongest slave to be his new assistant in his staff, and Leego recommended Hender. Upon arrival, Leego puts Cosmo a band that allows him to pass through the palace's force field and identify him as member of the Palace slave force. [4]

After a time of serving in the palace, Hender is returned to the quarries, seeing him back Leego decides to make an extra half-shift each day for toughen him, because the human has grown soft during his stay at the palace according to him. [5]

When Munnin Munb, the Sullustan member of the secret slave council, is killed. The Sullustan slaves stop working — under Sullust religious law, five days of mourning must be observed for the death of a leader. Leego is prepared to open fire on the Sullustan, to kill all those who won't return to work. But Cosmo intervenes. He insists that the Sullustan be allowed their religious observance. Leego is about to gun down Cosmo, but a Gamorrean stops him, he tells him that if he kills Cosmo who is de facto leader of all the slaves will doubtless be an uprising. Leego unwilling to decide Cosmo's fate himself drags him in shackles off to see the Governor. [6]

When the great temple is destroyed by an earthquake, Leego orders that the slaves start again building the temple, but he takes a number of slaves, and orders them to work on the rebuilding of the damaged buildings — including the library ( Because the Varlians believe that some slaves have been affected by the Changa Bloodrot plague). [7]

Leego has a secret meeting with the other Rodian guards. Tired of is under the command of the Varlians, and having to share what wealth the Varlians dispense with the disgusting Gamorreans. They come to the conclusion that the plague could serve to eliminate the Varlians and leave the Rodians as rulers. [8]

Leego goes to the library, and finds the old records related to the Changa Bloodrot in an ancient book which takes it to Gondo, a mad-scientist-type Rodian chemist to decode more of the plague. [9]

The next day, at a meal break, Cosmo to slip over to a Kubaz feeding group. Leego, is amused by this, and tells Cosmo if it's bugs he wants to eat, then bugs he'll have. Leego smashes Cosmo's food bowl, and forces him to dig in to the disgusting Kubaz fare. However this was done on purpose by Cosmo for his plan to free all slaves. [10]

Leego and the other Rodians raid the slave compounds, exhuming and confiscating the bodies of deceased slaves. They are taken to Gondo, who prepares spray guns filled with blood plasma extracted from the corpses. [11]

Leego and his lieutenants march into the Governor's court. The Governor's is shocked by the intrusion,, but Leego tells him to shut up. His lieutenants spray the Governor and everyone else in the room with the plague serum. Leego says that Rodians are dumping Changa Bloodrot serum into the palace water tanks — but Leego wanted the Governor to know who had bested him before he died. [12]

The Governor and the others Varlians panic, but when nothing happens, Leego realizes that the plague serum is ineffective; no one is dying. The Gamorreans guards swarm and dismember him, ending the life of the cruel Rodian. [13]

Personality

Leego was a Rodian, known to enjoy torturing slaves for no reason but for his joy. He tolerated no excuse, since he hit Fend Bellon, when he told him that he could not work harder, because of his wounded hand, even though he Leego knew what had happened to him. Neither did he care about the life of slaves or their love relationships, when Cosmo asked her for her partner Salee, Leego told him that she would surely find someone else to warm her bed, and when asked if he could not pass the Force field , Leego simply shrugged telling him that'll find another slave to fulfill whatever duties they have in mind for Cosmo
