Plot summary[]

Campaigns[]

Flight of the Freedom Fighter[]

Shortly after the victory ceremony for the destruction of the Death Star, Rebel Command orders a full evacuation of Base One. A group of rebels patrol the perimeter while the last few transports are being loaded. After fending off the imperial forces, and evading Darth Vader, the rebel group escapes on a small freighter.[6]

The group meets up with other alliance members aboard the Freedom Fighter, under the command of Captain Darpik. They travel to Ord Mantell to pick up foodstuffs and to extract operatives whose locations have been compromised. During the resupply mission crew members, along with Captain Darpik, went missing. The group tracks the location of the missing crew's shuttle to a docking bay in a remote region of the planet. The group finds the missing crew tied up in a room by mercenaries led by IG-88B. The rebel group manages to escape the planet and make it back to the Freedom Fighter.[6]

Back aboard the Freedom Fighter, Commander Ares Ginn and Corporal Calle Tharandon have a heated argument over the need for power converters and the risks associated with obtaining them. While Darpik was captured, some thugs had stolen a star map that contained the locations of many of the Rebellion's safe harbors. The group of rebels head back to Ord Mantell to intercept an imperial convoy before it can deliver the star map. After disabling the transport, the rebels blow open the door with satchel charges. They locate the star map inside one of the many crates and escape on their shuttle.[6]

After the successful mission, the rebels play hintaro to kill some time. Soon after, the captain calls a meeting with the rebel group where the captain reveals that one of the crewmembers is a spy for the empire. Using a tracker, it's discovered that someone has taken an unscheduled shuttle run to the planet Felucia. There they find the traitor in an imperial base where they neutralize him. Venturing further into the base, they find who the mole was reporting to, General Weiss. The group manages to destroy the general's modified AT-ST and recover his datapad, but Weiss manages to get away. As the group leaves Felucia, they crack the datapad's security and prevent most of the information from being transmitted.[6]

Back aboard the Freedom Fighter, every crewmate is frantically searching for any hidden trackers the spy might have planted on the ship. Eventually an Imperial Star Destroyer arrives and captures the ship in a tractor beam. The rebel group hides in food crates as the ship gets boarded. Hours later, the rebels sneak through the ship in Stormtrooper armor and search for the captured crew. The group manages to locate and free the crew and release the locks on the Freedom Fighter. The crew manages to escape, but the rebel group is forced to find a different way to escape. The group finds and steals a Sentinel-class shuttle just before Darth Vader catches them.[6]

The rebel group, along with the Freedom Fighter, make it to the rendezvous where they are met with the rest of the Rebel Alliance. The group is praised for their actions in helping the alliance, and are given medals by Admiral Ackbar.[6]

Jabba's Realm[]

Transport Crashed

The rebel transport crash landed on the planet Tatooine

As the Galactic Civil War continues, the Empire has started a new tactic of targeting families and noncombatants. The Rebel Alliance aids these innocent civilians in seeking shelter by guiding a convoy to a hidden rebel world. After an ambush on the convoy, one transport manages to escape the battle through hyperspace. Eventually, their hyperdrive gives out near the planet Tatooine, where their damaged ship crashes. Soon after, imperials arrive at the crash site led by Captain Terro. With the help of some Weequay pirates under the command of Jabba the Hutt, the group of rebels manages to fend off the imperials, but not before some of the survivors get captured by Terro and his forces. The group is then taken to Jabba's Palace.[6]

The group of rebels are brought before Jabba where they are informed they are currently indebted to Jabba for the hospitality and mercy he has provided them. The group of rebels talk to the rescued survivors that are being kept in cells where they meet an old slave woman named Senza Terro. Later, Jabba informs the rebels that they will have to repay their debt through labor. Jabba gives them a choice of two jobs to do, either accompany a representative during a spice deal with the Black Sun syndicate, or track down an Imperial officer who failed to deliver an exotic pet for Jabba.[6]

After the group completed one of Jabba's jobs, they get to talk to the imprisoned survivors. Not long after, the group is summoned before Jabba to be given their next mission. An imperial listening post has been disrupting Jabba's smuggling operations, so Jabba needs the group to acquire code cylinders to gain access to the listening post's systems. A trap is arranged for Captain Terro and his forces at the Great Pit of Carkoon. At the pit, the group is able to take out the imperials and acquire the code cylinders and escape.[6]

After acquiring the code cylinders, the group receives a signal from Rebel Alliance members. The group must decide on whether they should keep the code cylinders for Jabba, or deliver them to the Rebel agents. After the events that transpire, the group manages to free the survivors. Reunited, they board a transport and leave Tatooine.[6]

Return to Hoth[]

Forged in Battle FC BG art

Many troopers who fought on the frontlines were left behind after the Battle of Hoth

After the Battle of Hoth, a group of rebels, including Corporal Kish and Lieutenant Talcon, were left behind after the evacuation. They trek through the cold, barren snows of Hoth towards the trench line in search of a heater. As they make it to the front lines, they get found by Imperial forces. Before the fighting ensues, Lieutenant Talcon hands the group a datachip the will lead them to a safe haven off world if anything happens to her. During the fight, a never before seen repulsor tank appears and attacks the rebels. The group manages to destroy the tank and take out the rest of the Imperial patrol.[6]

Needing a way off the planet, the group decides to look for a ship back at Echo Base. They travel through some nearby tunnels that lead into the base where they fend off Imperials and wampas. The group manages to find their way through the tunnels and make it to a service pit beneath a hangar with a shuttle. It's there that the group encounters General Sorin and his forces, including Dengar. The rebel group is able to fight their way through Sorin's forces and steal the shuttle.[6]

The group travels to a small mountain village named Haven on the planet Ison. They meet the leader of the village, and friend of Lieutenant Talcon, Lesa Benex. The group checks the navicomputer of their stolen ship and discover General Sorin has made numerous trips to the planets Cholganna and Aleen. They also find holographic entries about tests Captain Sorin is running on a new shielding system and new weapons for his tanks. With the threat of these tanks, the rebel group decides to go investigate the planets.[6]

After the rebels return to Haven from the first planet they visited, the villagers inform them that Lesa Benex was kidnapped by Dengar. The group must now make the difficult decision of going to the next planet to find more intel on the tanks, or to go to Nar Shaddaa and rescue Benex. After the events that transpire, they return to Haven where they find an Imperial transceiver hidden in the shuttle. Sorin now knows about the rebels on Ison and orders all personnel to report to the flagship at Echo Base and prepare for an invasion. The rebels return to Hoth in an attempt to stop the Star Destroyer before its departure. They use the still functioning ion cannon to shoot at the Star Destroyer, disabling its shields long enough to board the ship. The group is too late to stop the ship however, and it enters hyperspace heading straight for Haven.[6]

The group races to the Star Destroyer's bridge to confront Sorin before they get to Ison. The rebels manage to take the bridge but Sorin evades them and the ship leaves hyperspace. With no other choice, the rebels disable the controls and send the Star Destroyer crashing down to Ison. The ship crashes on the outskirts near Haven, and the group makes their way from the wreckage. The group defends Haven from the onslaught of Imperial forces that survived the crash. The rebels are able to defeat Sorin's forces, and General Sorin himself, keeping Haven safe from the Empire.[6]
