- "I took a rebranding project and created the story of a post-apocalyptic militarized CDC. Explaining that project and process to create it got me in the door at Lucasfilm by broadcasting how much I love storytelling. So, if you're a Star Wars fan, do a Star Wars project and put it online. You never know who's looking."

Biography[]
Leigh Zieske is a graphic designer for Lucasfilm Ltd. who found her first Lucasfilm job through a creative staffing agency after finishing her MFA in graphic design.[2] She has designed the typography and compositions and directed the cover artists and interior illustrators for various Disney–Lucasfilm Press-published[1] young[3] and junior reader books,[4] along with young-adult novels.[5] She advanced from a contracted worker in 2016 to a full-time graphic designer in 2017.[1] Her position with Lucasfilm Ltd. is her first as a book designer.
