Leonart Beehaz was the son of Jayhold Beehaz, an Imperial Military Officer, and his wife, Roboda Beehaz. He and his mother were taken captive by rebels in order to make his father co-operate in the Aldhani heist.
Biography[]
Leonart was a 12-year-old human male who lived on the planet Aldhani while his father, Jayhold Beehaz, was serving as commandant of the garrison stationed there. He displayed traits of a normal 12-year-old boy, with his mother doting over him, as seen when she was helping him get dressed for the Eye of Aldhani and its subsequent celebrations. He did not want to wear his Imperial blouse to the ceremony of handing over goat skins to the Native Dhani's, remarking, "I'm not wearing that," in a disgusted tone. His father then told Leonart he would do as he was told, which prompted him to turn to his mother for help and say that he doesn't feel well. His father did not believe this and told Leonart he was "going to make an effort tonight even if it kills you," as this ceremony meant a lot for upholding the Empire's image on the planet and thus meant a lot to Jayhold. However, his mom did believe him and checked his forehead, telling her husband, "He might have a fever," with Jayhold responding, "He might feel the back of my hand." Due to this line, Leonart may have gotten hit by his father in the past for disobedience, but this is not certain. His father also seemed to think that he was always ill. Jayhold wanted his wife and son to be on their best behavior in the hopes that the new colonel would transfer the family out of the planet, which they despise and think is "stinky."
When the rebels infiltrated the facility by posing as Leonart and his family's guards, entering the base, Leonart and his mother were held at gunpoint to convince the elder Beehaz to open the Imperial vault within the base. His mother clutched onto him tightly during the ordeal, and Leonart was seen crying as the rebel team threatened to shoot them both. Colonel Soden Petigar was shot dead by the rebel Cinta Kaz when he drew his pistol in an attempt to force the rebels to release Leonart. He was then tied up and gagged in the command center alongside his mother, with Cinta watching over them as the rebels stole the Imperial payroll. They were both presumably released after the rebels fled with the payroll.
His mother was shown to be very affectionate to him and was terrified when the rebel team pointed their blasters at her and her son. His father was more cold and demanding, but nevertheless, he allowed the rebels to do what they needed and even obliged when they forced him to bring carts of credits onto their getaway ship to keep Leonart and his wife safe.
