"I could not stand by and allow such a vicious organization as the First Order to plunge the whole galaxy into darkness. But now, after the war, I do not know how to retrace my steps. I do not know how to once again be the historian who left Lerct because I do not know if that person still exists."
―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire[2]

Lerct was a terrestrial astronomical object that was home to the Arhul Hextrophon School of Embedded Journalism and the Lerct Historical Institute. It was the homeworld of the human Beaumont Kin, who worked as a professor at the Lerct Historical Institute before joining the Resistance after the Hosnian Cataclysm.[1]
