The liberation of New Valis was a battle that was fought on the Outer Rim Territories mining colony of New Valis. The liberation began when a platoon of the Rebel Alliance Marine Corps conducted raiding actions in the area, before eventually attacking the barracks of the stormtrooper company stationed there. Civilian miners joined the Rebel Alliance's efforts, and the Galactic Empire was forced to retreat.[1]
