On the planet Kashyyyk, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and other Wookiees were being held captive by Korgan and other Trandoshans after they were captured celebrating Life Day. Jinn warned Korgan that he did not know the trouble he got into capturing him and tried to convince him to free the Wookiees and leave them alone. Korgan refused but Jinn tried to use a force mind trick on him. But the mind trick did not work on Korgan who then ordered for the hunt to continue.
Meanwhile, Jinn's Jedi Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi was working with the Wookiee leader, Brennonn in finding the captured Wookiees. Kenobi was unsure about what do to as he did not want to put anymore Wookiees at risk even if the Trandoshans were after Brennonn. The trouble they were having with the Trandoshans reminded Brennon of a lesson she learned from her elders. "Sometimes you have to remember who you're not to understand who you are," Kenobi repeated which reminded him of Jinn. Kenobi realized that he would have to think outside the box to save Jinn and the Wookiees and formulated a plan.
Back at the imprisonment camp, Korgan ordered his Trandoshan fighters to guard the perimeter and make sure Jinn does not attack. But he was interrupted by Kenobi who entered with his hands up to surrender. Korgan was confused on why he would surrender but Jinn called out to Kenobi and asked why he was there. Kenobi confessed that he was just a Jedi learner and could not stand a chance against the Trandoshans without his master. He then order Korgan to release the Wookiees and Jinn but Korgan laughed and called him arrogant. Korgan told him that he will not stop until he has his cages filled with Wookies. But Kenobi had a trick up his sleeve.
He used the force to open up Jinn's cage, freeing him. Jinn grabbed his lightsaber and with the help from his apprentice prepared to free the rest of the Wookiees. But Korgan warned them they were outnumbered. Kenobi didn't believe so as a loud roar came from the forest. Brennonn had lead the Wookiees and they were ready to fight the Trandoshans. But Brennon allowed for the Trandoshans to surrender as it was Life Day. Korgan agreed and surrendered.
Shortly after, Jinn congratulated Kenobi on his leadership as the Life Day celebrations went into full swing around them. Kenobi wondered why Jinn did not break out of his cage sooner but Jinn had believed that his apprentice with an unconventional solution to save him.
They then observed Life Day and discovered that Life Day was like a celebration of the Force. He continued saying that the Wookiees understand the balance in the Force but also surprises, as Brennonn came from behind and jumped on them. He told Brennonn the she did not have to thank him and promised to join her in the celebrations. He wanted Kenobi to remember to always trust in the force because it would guide him and always teach him something new.
