Lightsaber auxiliary

Lightsaber auxiliaries were components that modified Sith lightsabers for use in lightsaber combat. The mechanically-inclined individual later known as the Ronin designed the auxiliaries in the time when he was the Dark Lord of the Sith leading a rebellion against the Jedi. His holographic blueprints were transmitted amongst the Sith from cell to cell and utilized in constructing their lightsabers. After the rebellion collapsed, auxiliaries became a commodity collected by some beings, such as the Jedi lord Hanrai, who admired their construction but did not utilize them. Since the devices reflected Sith tactics, many Jedi considered their use to be dishonorable.^[1]

Types of lightsaber auxiliaries included the Ronin's scabbard auxiliary, which he modified to produce a staff; the parasol auxiliary used in Kouru's lightsaber parasol; and the fan auxiliary used by Kouru's master.^[1]
