"You will contact an undercover agent already working here in Doaba Guerfel. She will have your best leads on finding someone in the Chirq Council."
Captain Baize, to a spacer[1]

Lilith Laughlin was a Human female small-time thug who lived on Corellia during the time of the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance.

Biography[]

"Rumor has reached my ears of a CorSec agent masquerading as a small-time thug in order to gather information about the Council."
Jzoro Quanera, to a spacer[2]

By the time following the Battle of Yavin, Lilith Laughlin was a small-time thug who resided in the city of Doaba Guerfel and served as an undercover agent for the Corellian Security Force.[1]

In 1 ABY,[3] the Corellian Security Force started an investigation against the Chirq Council, also known by the CorSec as the Red Circle Gang, following the increase of ryll traffic on Corellia. After it was discovered that the criminal organization was based in Doaba Guerfel,[4] Captain Vitala Baize was designated to lead the investigation.[5] Captain Baize decided to use the help of Lilith Laughlin to discover putative Chirq Council members in Doaba Guerfel. However, Laughlin was not able to help the CorSec at that moment because some Ragtag cudgels led by Ventil Tamplin and Lilea Norith harassed her because they suspected her true allegiance. Captain Baize thus dispatched a spacer who previously worked for CorSec to deal definitively with the Ragtags.[1]

Lilith Laughlin immediately started to work for Captain Baize, and she quickly found possible connections between the Red Circle Gang and a Drall terrorist organization known as the Drall Patriots. However, after a search in the Drall Patriot Warehouse in Doaba Guerfel, it appeared that there was no connection between the two groups. Laughlin later sent the spacer to talk with Gwhirrye Baric, a thug who ran a spice racket out of a small hospital in Doaba Guerfel. After the spacer helped him to deal with Xyrias Undea and the Rogue CorSec miscreants who harassed his business, Baric agreed to reveal a name: Trins Evnar. The man was a spice dealer with a red circle tattoo on his arm.[1] Thanks to this information, Captain Baize discovered the identity of several Chirq Council members and embedded an agent within the organization.[6]

The Chirq Council later discovered that an informant helped the CorSec in its investigation. The underboss Jzoro Quanera thus tasked Captain Baize's infiltrated agent to find and kill the informant. In order to protect Lilith Laughlin, the agent instead killed another woman, Ebela Puckett, a Grey Shroud terrorist, and Captain Baize created evidence that the terrorist was working for CorSec. Having earned the trust of Jzoro Quaner, the agent was given full access to Quanera's database and obtained the identity of the nine elite councilors who ruled the Chirq Council and the locations of their secret headquarters.[2] The CorSec operation eventually destroyed the Chirq Council.[7]

  3. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
