Loth-bats were a species of bat native to the planet Lothal in the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy. They were known to roost under the eaves of buildings. Agent Kallus of the Imperial Security Bureau once mentally compared the Grand Inquisitor, a gaunt Pau'an who dressed in black, to a Loth-bat.[1]

Behind the scenes

Loth-bats were first mentioned in the 2015 junior novel Battle to the End, the fourth entry in the Star Wars Rebels chapter book series written by Michael Kogge. The novel is based on the Star Wars Rebels season one finale episodes "Call to Action," "Rebel Resolve," and "Fire Across the Galaxy."[1]
