- "This stone came from the Jedi Temple here on Lothal."
- ―Ezra Bridger, on the stone's origins
After encountering the Loth-wolf Dume during a dream on the planet Lothal[1] in 1 BBY,[3] the Jedi Ezra Bridger was given a key stone from the Lothal Jedi Temple by the White Loth-wolf. The key stone was the key to deciphering the mural at the site of the temple that was a portal to the World Between Worlds, a mystical plane outside of time and space. The key stone had three hands, one closed, one firm and open, and another relaxed and open. The three symbols were encircled by circular designs[1] and corresponded to The Ones, the trio of Force wielders who occupied the mystical realm of Mortis.[2]
Although Bridger was confused and frustrated by Dume's vague advice, he awoke with the stone in his possession. Traveling to the Lothal temple, Bridger and his companions used the stone to decrypt the mural, which depicted the Force wielders. Bridger was able to open the portal to the World Between Worlds.[1]
