- "Lou! Are you crazy? Pointing that thing at a Jedi? Put it down now!"
- ―A spaceport police droid to Loubo, as he's holding a frying pan at the ready
Loubo was a male who was the owner of Plop Dribble's, a spaceport restaurant on Stobar. He was a member of a tentacle-faced species.
Biography[]
In 20 BBY, Savage Opress stopped on Stobar on his way to find his brother. When he started to choke a waitress named Sassi, Loubo yelled for his WA-7 service unit, Marwigo, to alert the authorities. They did not get there in time; Opress had escaped, but they were able to save Sassi.
When Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano arrived at the diner, Loubo, justifiably fearing for the life of his staff from the earlier event, tried to defend his diner with a frying pan, although the security droids talked him out of it, citing that it's a useless weapon against a Jedi. After the misunderstanding was resolved, he offered them meals "on the house," as compensation.
Personality and traits[]
Loubo had a tattoo of a heart on his arm with text on it. In Aurebesh, it reads as "MOM". He also pulled a frying pan out to defend himself and Sassi from Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, but was asked to stop by a police droid. He then later offered him and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano some food "on the house". The event involving Savage appeared to really scare him and his staff.
Behind the scenes[]
Loubo, in the infamous scene where he pulled a frying pan on Skywalker, was originally intended to pull a blaster on him, but it was changed for unknown reasons. Pablo Hidalgo, the person who maintains the Trivia galleries for the various episodes, commented that the change turned the scene into a joke.
