- "Justice for Baby Ludi"
- ―Slogan found on a Clone Wars-era chassisplast
Ludi, known as Baby Ludi, was the subject of a plea for justice which appeared on self-published chassisplasts during the Clone Wars. Many of these small, colorful adhesives, affixed to speeder fairings on planets such as Coruscant, featured expressions of anti-Republic sentiment that were considered troublesome by the Coruscant Traffic Violation Bureau.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
"Baby Ludi" was first mentioned in the current canon in the 2016 reference book Star Wars Propaganda: A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy, written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the character of Aris-Del Wari, born Ludi Billane and called "Baby Ludi" by the media, was first mentioned in HoloNet News Vol. 531 #46, an issue of the HoloNet News promotional website. Wari was a Force-sensitive child embroiled in a custody case between the Jedi Order and her mother, Jonava Billane, just before the outbreak of the Clone Wars.[2]
