Plot summary
The episode opens with Jabba's sail barge Khetanna and its two escort skiffs hovering over the Great Pit of Carkoon, which is home to a sarlacc. A Weequay guard shoves Luke Skywalker onto the gangplank of their skiff. The narrator explains that in a "galaxy of adventures", Luke and his friends plan a daring escape. In the passenger deck, R2-D2 hurriedly drops his tray and rushes onto the upper deck.
Luke demands that Jabba free him and his friends or die. Jabba and his henchmen laugh in response. Luke waves to R2-D2 before using the edge of the gangplank as a spring to leap into the air and catch his green lightsaber. Luke lands back on the skiff and attacks the guards with his lightsaber, killing them while driving some over the edge into the sarlacc's maw below.
Luke then deflects Boba Fett's blaster bolts before using the Force to push another guard. While Princess Leia Organa strangles Jabba with her chain, Luke leaps onto the Khetanna's hull. He fights with another guard leaning out a window and throws him into the sarlacc's maw.
Luke leaps onto the upper deck where he fights and strikes down a Gamorrean guard. Luke is joined by Leia, who fights another one of Jabba's guards. Under Luke's orders, Leia fires the sail barge's laser cannon into the barge's deck. As the barge goes up in flames, Luke and Leia escape onto a barge by swinging down a rope. After picking up R2-D2 and C-3PO, Luke and his comrades fly into the sunset in their skiff.
