Lyhesh Sakku was a Force-sensitive male active thousands of years before the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire.[2] At some point in his life, Lyhesh became the target of an attempted poisoning. He survived, but the incident drove him mad, causing him to become a threat to the Jedi Order. Lyhesh was then confronted by his brother, Lorjan, a member of the Order, who redeemed Lyhesh at the cost of his own life.[1]
His brother's sacrifice was remembered for years to come, with Lorjan being posthumously awarded the title of Barsen'thor by his Jedi Master, which translated to "Warden of the Order" in the Master's native Cerean language and which the Jedi Order retained for future use.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Lyhesh Sakku was mentioned in the 2012 reference book Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia, a companion piece to the 2011 massively multiplayer online role-playing game Star Wars: The Old Republic, developed by BioWare. Lyhesh and his brother Lorjan were mentioned in an entry on Jedi ceremonial titles, as part of the backstory for the title of Barsen'thor, which is attained during the course of the game by the Jedi Consular, one of the eight playable character classes.[1]

- ↑ According to Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia, Lyhesh Sakku's brother, Lorjan, was the first recipient of the title of Barsen'thor. Additionally,
Star Wars: The Old Republic — Jedi Consular Mission: "Vivicar Awaits" on Tython, which depicts the title being awarded to the third recipient at the height of the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire, states that thousands of years have passed since the title was last awarded. This references the tenure of the second Barsen'thor, while the Sakku brothers must have lived sometime prior.
