- "It […] reeks of backwater places like Lysatra. Backwater means any planet that's not part of the Core Worlds and the elite and powerful people who live there."
- ―Eli Vanto
Lysatra was an isolated planet[1] in grid square I-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid, a portion of the Expansion Region[2] that was close to the Unknown Regions.[1] By 15 BBY,[3] it was still considered a part of Wild Space. Eli Vanto grew up on Lysatra, where he heard stories about the Chiss and worked in a shipping company. Besides Galactic Basic Standard, many Trade languages of the Wild Space were spoken, including the language Sy Bisti.[1]

- ↑ Chapter 19 of Thrawn includes Arihnda Pryce being appointed governor of Lothal, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 11 BBY. As chapter 19 also establishes it has been approximately four years since the start of Thrawn, the novel must have began around 15 BBY.
