- "The greatest rebel warriors in the sector. More skilled than any death trooper, with even greater augmentations."
- ―ZED-6-7
The M.A.R. Corps[3] was a squad[1] of four heavily-augmented cyborg soldiers of the Rebel Alliance who fought against the Galactic Empire.[2] The unit was composed of four cyborgs: Blades, Chamdaka, Tandorvo, and Masakint.[3] Picking up the pieces after the scourge of the droids,[1] the Sith Lord Darth Vader, wishing for servants who were skilled like his unit of death troopers but were unable to think for themselves like programmed droids, sought out the cyborgs, intending to implant them with Imperial droid brains, leaving them conscious but forced to obey Vader.[2] At Zee-Nine City Seven, the M.A.R. Corps attacked Imperial forces led by Lieutenant Enric Pryde, but Vader arrived and fought the cyborgs himself. Although the M.A.R. Corps held their own against the Sith, Vader had mouse droids launch the droid brains into the ports on the rebels' cybernetics, taking control of them.[3] The M.A.R. Corps accompanied Vader when he aligned himself with Administrator Sly Moore's Schism Imperial, a faction of Empire personnel dissatisfied with Emperor Palpatine.[5]
