Mak Luunim owned a datacard that contained access codes to the Rebel Alliance's secret financial accounts.[1]

In 0 ABY,[source?] the Rebel pilot Luke Skywalker, accompanied by fellow Rebels Leia Organa, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Tobin Elad—who was secretly the Imperial assassin assassin X-7 tasked to assassinate the rebel pilot who destroyed the Death Star—went to Muunilinst to retrieve the datacard from Luunim. They arrived late, however, as Luunim was already dead by the time Skywalker and the others arrived. The datacard was taken by Nal Kenuun, a notorious Muun gambler, in payment of Luunim's debt to him.[1]

The Rebels looked for Kenuun's whereabouts, only to be captured by stormtroopers under Kenuun's employ. Faced with the gambler himself, Skywalker agreed to race for Kenuun in a podracing event in exchange for the datacard. Skywalker managed to win the race and Kenuun handed the datacard over to the Rebels. As they were about to leave, Kenuun ordered his stormtroopers to subdue the Rebels, intending collecting the Imperial bounties on Solo and Elad. A standoff ensued and was only broken when Organa captured Kenuun's pet krayt dragon and threatened to harm it if they were not allowed safe passage offworld.[1]
