- "It is commonly thought that Canto Bight has the best Sabacc tables, but you should not underestimate Makal's in Mirogana"
- ―Entry in Jet Kordo's journal
Makal's Gambling Parlor was a gambling cantina in the city of Mirogana on the planet Toshara in 3 ABY.
Description[]
It had a round exterior with steps that led up to its entrance. The parlor had a backroom where high stakes Sabacc games took place. Malak's also had an exterior balcony that overlooked the plains west of Mirogana.[1]
History[]
The interior of Makal's Gambling Parlor.
It was built as a Tosharan parlor long before the Imperial Era. As the crime syndicates came to Mirogana the parlor eventually became a gambling establishment. Before 3 ABY,[2] the outlaw, Jet Kordo, recorded in his journal that he and the Gallusian Bosnok made nearly ten thousand credits in one night at Makal's.[1]
By 3 ABY the Pyke Syndicate crime lord Gorak Palas obtained a private suite upstairs where he would conduct business. However the parlor itself was still considered neutral ground among the syndicates. The contract broker Danka Orsato also frequently operated out of Makal's.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
