The Maladi sector lay in the Slice portion of the Expansion Region.[1] By 0 ABY, it bordered the Harron sector Rimward and the Kossa sector spinward. The sector also formed a four-way border with the Circarpous, Parcelus, and Venzeiia sectors at its southern edge, and was a part of the Expansion Region's Coreward border with the Inner Rim.[4]
The Maladi sector contained the eponymous star system[2] and also shared its name with the cult of assassins known as the Maladians.[5] The Nanth'ri Route[3] hyperlane passed through the southern reaches of the sector.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
The Maladi sector was established in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas.[2] The sector was depicted on a map designed by Modi and published in the 2012 StarWars.com article "Essential Atlas Extra: Expansion Region."[4]
