Malpaz was a planet that during the Clone Wars suffered invasions from both the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. It was home to an avian species. During the Imperial Era, the Galactic Empire's Project Celestial Power established a research facility on Malpaz, building it on a hill that overlooked the Malpaz capital city. However, an accident resulted in the facility's destruction and the deaths of thousands of civilian casualties.[1]
Malpaz's capital city was large and had a power grid along with a primitive nuclear power planet, both of which were burned down following the incident at the Imperial facility.[1]
