Manta RamAir were a company that manufactured the Mk IV Flat Twin Turbojet podracer engine.[1] The Glymphid podracer used a Manta RamAir Mk IV during the Boonta Eve Classic podrace on the planet Tatooine[2] in 32 BBY.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

In the new Star Wars canon, Manta RamAir was mentioned in Endless Vigil, a supplement for the Star Wars: Force and Destiny roleplaying game written by Tim Huckelberry and James M. Spahn and released by Fantasy Flight Games in 2016.[1] The company originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the 1999 video game Star Wars Episode I: Racer.[4]
