A star was located in the Maridun system of the Outer Rim Territories, orbited by the planet Maridun. During the Clone Wars, a Galactic Republic Consular-class cruiser piloted by Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano, Jedi General Aayla Secura, Clone Captain Rex, and Clone Commander Bly, and containing the injured Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and several clone troopers, nearly crashed into the star when incorrect coordinates were input after the navicomputer was damaged during the Battle of Quell against the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[3]
