Master Hyor-ka's dao-ben steamed bun shop was a business owned by Master Hyor-ka by the the time of the rebellion on Akiva. The establishment was located in the Outer Rim planet Akiva's capital city of Myrra, one alley away from the junk dealer Temmin Wexley's spare parts shop. Under Hyor-ka's ownership, the shop sold dao-ben steamed buns, a type of bread. The shop had a tarp covering part of its roof, and an awning topping its entryway.[1]

In 4 ABY,[2] Wexley hid on the roof of Master Hyor-ka's dao-ben steamed bun shop, under a tarp, while spying on thugs working for the crime lord Surat Nuat. The thugs spotted Wexley and attacked him, forcing the junk dealer out of his hiding spot and off the roof. Wexley hit the shop's awning as gravity propelled him down into the street below.[1]

Behind the scenes

Master Hyor-ka's dao-ben steamed bun shop first appeared in Aftermath, a 2015 novel written by Chuck Wendig.[1]

  2. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary dates the reunion of Norra Wexley and Temmin Wexley on Akiva—which occurs during the rebellion on Akiva, according to Aftermath—to thirty years before the Hosnian Cataclysm, which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas places in 34 ABY. The appearance of Master Hyor-ka's dao-ben steamed bun shop takes place during Akiva's rebellion, and can therefore be placed in 4 ABY.
