Mastmots were a species of massive, furry, and friendly beasts of burden native to the frozen world of Toola. They had tusks which were prized for use in necklaces.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Mastmots were first created for Galaxy Guide 4: Alien Races, a Star Wars Legends supplement for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game released in 1989 and written by Troy Denning. They became canon when mentioned in the reference book Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know, which was released in 2015.
