Solo: "The fineband scope makes it look like there's an entire fleet ahead. No wonder those Imperials swung off our tail!"
Organa: "Er… Han? I know the beacon's on Rebel frequency, but… the Alliance doesn't have a fleet in this sector!"
Han Solo and Leia Organa[src]

The Mayagil sector was a sector located in the Outer Rim Territories. Planets in the sector included Kabal, H'nemthe, Öetrago, Triton, Virmeude, Xagobah and Clak'dor VII. Mezhra Station and the Dunari's Rest casino were also in the Mayagil sector.

History

The Mayagil sector was represented in the Galactic Senate by Dodra F'ass; it seceded and joined the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and was represented later by Nara Deega and later by E'noro in the New Republic Senate.

During the Clone Wars, the Mayagil sector was known to be a favorite of smugglers making their way between more habitable regions. Jabba the Hutt had underworld contacts on various planets of this sector.[6]

Behind the scenes

The PC game Star Wars: Rebellion incorrectly places Chalcedon, Dantooine, Urdur and Cona in the Mayagil sector. Chalcedon is in the Tashtor sector; Urdur is in the Corporate Sector; Dantooine is in the Raioballo sector; Cona is in the Inner Rim.
