"Who? Colonel Barson Nestroph, Imperial Army. Let Papa know I made something of myself. What? Bounty hunter, months after the Empire surrenders—I'm a hero and a target. Where? The University of Cadomai, where I've gone to teach fine art."
―Heater — (audio) Listen (file info)[1]

Barson Nestroph was a male colonel in the army of the Galactic Empire. They were the father of Heater, a pilot in the New Republic's Riot Squadron.[1] In 4 ABY,[2] Heater and a number of other pilots aboard the EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate Hellion's Dare played Who? What? Where?, a game where each participant set out who they wanted to be informed first of their death, their cause of death, and where it would happen. Heater chose Nestroph to be the first to hear of his death, expressing his desire for his father to know he made something out of himself.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Barson Nestroph was mentioned in the 2019 novel Alphabet Squadron, the initial volume of the Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron trilogy written by Alexander Freed.[1]
