The Melus system was a star system that was located in the Nicandra sector, within the Mid Rim[1] and New Territories regions of the galaxy.[2] The system was the namesake of the Melusi Uprising, a conflict which the Judicial Forces of the Galactic Republic ended around 900 BBY.[3]

Behind the scenes

The Melus system was established in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which placed the system in grid square L-7.[1]

  2. 2.0 2.1 StarWars Star Wars: The Essential Atlas Online Companion on StarWars.com (article) (backup link) places the Melus system in grid square L-7. The Essential Atlas depicts territory falling in that grid square as being located in either the New Territories region of the galaxy or the Northern Dependencies part of the Expansion Region. Since The Essential Atlas Online Companion establishes the Melus system as being part of the Mid Rim (as opposed to the Expansion Region), it therefore must also be part of the New Territories.
