Merisee was a terrestrial astronomical object located in the Elrood sector.[1] In 230 BBY,[2] during the High Republic Era, Merisee was engulfed by the Nihil pirates Occlusion Zone region of space and placed behind its Stormwall hyperspace barrier.[1] Between 230 BBY and 229 BBY,[2] during her time trapped in the Occlusion Zone, Jedi Master Avar Kriss visited Merisee where she sold her diadem for food to help individuals on the celestial body.[1] In 229 BBY,[2] the Jedi Master recalled losing her diadem when she thought about how she had changed while in the Occlusion Zone.[3] The following year,[4] Kriss—by then having escaped Nihil space—mentally recalled the time she had helped the people on Merisee by selling her diadem when she compared her Jedi attire to Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh.[1]
During the Galactic Civil War, it was the site of a skirmish.[5]
