Mestare was a planet where unique lightsaber crystals were mined. It was said that lightsabers which utilized these crystals could cut through cortosis, a lightsaber-resistant metal. The unique crystals were also known to make the lightsaber blades curved, similar to ancient Jedi katanas. Mestare Jedi also wore protective armor for an unknown reason.
Behind the scenes[]
In Clone Wars Adventures, the Ancient Mestare Jedi outfit was available for players to buy. It appeared similar to Rahm Kota's armor.
Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, indicated in March 2023 that Mestare was validated for a future update of The Essential Atlas Online Companion.[1]
